Position Overview

The Travel Polysomnographer plays a crucial role in the evaluation and management of sleep disorders. This position involves comprehensive sleep testing procedures, including EEG assessments and CPAP equipment management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Conduct thorough sleep disorder evaluations and assist in the setup of CPAP machines to ensure patient compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Medical Director and supervisory staff to maintain high standards of patient service.
  • Education: Provide guidance to patients regarding CPAP mask fitting and therapy compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in scoring and interpreting polysomnograms, as well as conducting EEGs for both adults and children.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor, demonstrating sound judgment and effective communication skills.
  • Administrative Duties: Utilize computer applications and electronic medical records to document patient information accurately.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Prior experience with EEG procedures
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Candidates must reside a minimum distance from the facility to be eligible for this position.
