Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Home Health team in Longview, WA. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out the physical therapy plan of care, under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, to restore function, prevent disability, and assist patients to achieve optimal levels of functional status.
  • Provide treatment to patients and skilled education/instruction to patients and caregivers according to the plan of treatment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary to ensure smooth continuous care of the patients.
  • Mentor and provide oversight to therapy aides and students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, patient care meetings, educational in-services, caregiver orientation, and other professional activities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant associate degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant license from the State of WA Physical Therapy Licensing Board.
  • Current American Heart Association issued BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
