Position Overview:
Support the daily execution of transportation operations within a multi-temperature, technology-oriented warehouse, emphasizing safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Ensure a secure working environment for all personnel
Successfully implement company protocols to guarantee 100% compliance
Achieve or surpass annual performance targets, including timely dispatches, off-load rates, labor costs, and product loss and damage
Contribute to budget development
Assist in formulating and executing the daily operational plan, including equipment maintenance and driver scheduling to meet or exceed customer delivery requirements
Promote a workplace culture that enhances employee involvement, morale, and engagement
Provide training and development opportunities for drivers and support staff
Oversee food safety practices in accordance with company and customer standards
Ensure adherence to company, state, federal, and local policies, regulations, DOT requirements, and safety/health standards
Collaborate with the Transportation Manager to oversee route planning and bid package preparation
Swiftly address issues to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
Engage in, contribute to, and potentially lead various committees, such as quality and safety
Work with Human Resources to maintain appropriate staffing levels throughout the year and address employee concerns promptly and effectively
Champion organizational change
Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of relevant leadership experience
Self-driven and disciplined team player
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Capability to creatively resolve issues in a dynamic environment
Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines with accuracy
Exhibit urgency and focus on achieving results
Demonstrated business and financial insight
Professional demeanor
Proven ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively, and respond appropriately
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate Excel capabilities
Demonstrated proficiency with supply chain information systems, such as ATA, Paragon, and JD Edwards
Willingness to work any shift and schedule due to the 24/7 nature of the environment
Must successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
College Degree preferred
Experience in food distribution is advantageous
