Job Summary:

As a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist at Omni Family Health, you will play a vital role in providing professional healthcare to our growing network of state-of-the-art health centers serving California's Central Valley. You will be part of our Behavioral Health Department, working closely with individuals, groups, and families to address and manage their mental health concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnostic Assessment and Treatment: Provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments and treatment plans for patients experiencing a wide range of behavioral health concerns in an outpatient setting.
  2. Psychotherapy Services: Facilitate a full range of psychotherapy services, including counseling, protective services, and family services, to support patients in achieving their mental health goals.
  3. Mental Health Assessments: Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients' mental states accurately and develop effective treatment plans.
  4. Treatment Planning and Progress Monitoring: Formulate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Present case information to department directors and other team members to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  6. Referrals and Consultation: Refer patients to other mental health professionals as necessary and provide consultation and education on behavioral health issues and treatment options.
  7. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Utilize electronic health records and other software programs to document patient care, including diagnostic evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge procedures.
  8. Program Consultation and Education: Act as a program consultant, providing consultation and education on behavioral health issues and treatment options to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  9. Caseload Management and Performance Expectations: Manage caseloads and other tasks to meet qualitative and quantitative performance expectations, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
  10. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Comply with organizational, departmental, state, and federal guidelines, as well as regulatory agency policies and procedures, to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  11. Professional Development and Competency: Participate in education and training activities to maintain competency in clinical work, staying up-to-date with the latest methodologies and best practices in counseling and therapy.
  12. Continuous Quality Improvement: Contribute to efforts to continuously improve patient care and services, identifying operational problems and inefficiencies and bringing them to the attention of responsible entities.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. HIPAA Compliance: Maintain awareness of and comply with all HIPAA regulations and requirements to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.
  2. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  3. Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities, contributing to the overall quality improvement initiatives of the organization.
  4. Information Technology: Learn and utilize electronic health records and other software programs, including NextGen, Practice Management System (PMS), Quality Systems Inc. (QSI), and other electronic features as required by job functions and highlighted in policies and procedures.
  5. Patient-Centered Medical Home: Participate in Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives at Omni Family Health.
  6. Audits and Compliance: Contribute to required audits, including Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Operational Site Visit (OSV), The Joint Commission (JC), and other audit events.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
  1. Master's Degree: Possess a Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  2. Current License: Hold a current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS).
  3. Post-Graduate Experience: Have at least two (2) years of post-graduate mental health therapy experience within the last five (5) years, preferably in an ambulatory health center.
