Academic Surgical Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Surgical Pathologist to join our team at the University of Iowa. As a key member of our Department of Pathology, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of surgical pathology.
Responsibilities:- Provide accurate and timely diagnoses in surgical pathology
- Participate in the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques and protocols
- Contribute to the education and training of medical students and residents
- Engage in research and scholarly activities to advance the field of surgical pathology
- MD or equivalent degree
- Board certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology
- Experience in surgical pathology, with a focus on subspecialties such as pulmonary/thoracic, breast, gynecologic, genitourinary, pediatric, and head and neck/ENT pathology
- Experience in academic or research settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
