Lifeguard (Certified)

Emerald Youth Foundation is seeking a dedicated and certified lifeguard to maintain safe swimming conditions in our pool and surrounding areas.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with Emerald Youth Foundation and EV Davidson-Carl Cowan Pool policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain constant surveillance of pool area to ensure safety.
• Respond to emergency situations immediately.
• Enforce pool safety rules, policies, and guidelines according to Emerald Youth Sports Aquatic requirements.
• Develop positive relationships with swimmers and families, encouraging parent involvement.
• Perform chemical testing and checks throughout the day.
• Assist with pool and pool area upkeep and cleanliness.
• Update required records and reports data as required.
• Complete accident and incident reports as needed.

Requirements:

• Dedicated Christian with clear knowledge of the Gospel and a passion for the mission of Emerald Youth Foundation.
• At least 15 years of age.
• Must be able to swim.
• Red Cross Lifeguard certification required.
• CPR, First Aid Certification preferred.

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate will work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends, with flexible hours during the summer.
