Corporate Hiring Solutions Inc. is seeking a qualified and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide on-site psychiatric care and consultative services for individuals with developmental disabilities.The selected candidate will work every Monday for 8 hours, excluding NYS-recognized holidays, at our client's Article 16 Clinic located in Norwich, NY.
Responsibilities:- Provide psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and treatment recommendations for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Offer crisis intervention and manage psychotropic medications, including monitoring their effects.
- Collaborate with medical personnel and the interdisciplinary team to develop and manage treatment plans.
- Document all clinically relevant information and enter it into the Electronic Health Record System (EHR) within the required timeframes.
- Participate in case management meetings and provide in-service programs to increase staff knowledge.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA and OPWDD policies.
- Valid New York State license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Certification by the New York State Education Department in the specialty of Psychiatry.
- Experience in providing psychiatric care for both adults and children, with a minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Enrollment as a Medicaid/Medicare provider.
- Proof of current malpractice insurance and compliance with all pre-employment background checks.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
