Job Overview: As a Loan Originator Specialist at The Dime Bank, you will be responsible for supporting the loan origination function by performing various duties to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics, as well as moderate computer skills.

About You: We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a minimum of one year of related experience. Your strong interpersonal relations and communicative skills will enable you to effectively coordinate work within the department and with other departments. You will also be responsible for reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Essential Duties:

  • Underwrites new loan applications in accordance with the Bank's lending policy.
  • Coordinates the receipt of supporting documentation for new loan applications.
  • Prepares and sends appropriate disclosures as required by relevant regulations.
  • Verifies data as required by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
  • Maintains required information and notifies appropriate personnel of credit information deficiencies.
  • Prepares adverse action letters for declined loans.
  • Prepares closing documents for consumer and commercial loans via the loan origination platform.
  • Inputs appropriate computer data for new loans to core servicing system.
  • Uploads documentation to document imaging system for new loans.
  • Disburses proceeds for all consumer and commercial loans.

Salary: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on location and experience)
