Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Veterinarian to join our team as a Mobile Care Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care services to geriatric and terminally ill pets, guiding families in making end-of-life decisions and building relationships with local veterinary clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care services to pets, ensuring a peaceful and dignified experience for both the pet and their family.
  • Conduct thorough consultations with pet owners to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized care and support.
  • Collaborate with local veterinary clinics to extend their excellent care and provide a seamless experience for pet owners.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and advancements in pet care.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of Lap of Love, sharing your expertise and insights to enhance our services and reputation.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with a strong focus on in-home care and end-of-life services.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with pet owners and colleagues.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and empathy, with a passion for providing compassionate care and support.
