Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to join our team at Mount Sinai South Nassau. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care by preparing and delivering nutritious meals to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patient trays with a variety of food items, including entrees, sides, and desserts
• Transport food carts to patient floors, maintaining all food temperature controls
• Assist patients with their needs, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their satisfaction
• Collaborate with the food service and clinical programs to provide services based on department standards for meal delivery, nutritional assessment, and patient education

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous food service experience and/or healthcare experience
• Ability to speak, read, and write English

Working Conditions

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
• Requires standing in one position plus periods of movement, while working in high temperature area
