We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Tad PGS in Rochester, NY. This is a 3rd shift opportunity that offers a competitive salary range of $38,000 - $50,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions using various measuring tools, fixtures, and equipment such as CMMs, Smart-Scopes, micrometers, verniers, gauge pins, height gauges, etc.
  • Execute CMM / Smart Scope programs after fixturing parts.
  • Perform material moisture checks.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional checks of the first piece, in-process, and/or finished products.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand part quality deviations when necessary.
  • Communicate visual and dimensional nonconformances with Operations in a timely manner.
  • Identify and contain non-conforming product.
  • Prepare and complete required reports and departmental forms.
  • Maintain records either manually or electronically.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of on-the-job inspection experience to acquire familiarity with methods, procedures, tools, and equipment and to perform the work proficiently.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • CMM/PC-DMIS/SmartScope experience a plus.
