Job Summary

This role is located in a dynamic healthcare environment, where you will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals in the field of vascular sonography. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality vascular lab exams, providing quality patient care, and assisting with clinical rotations in both in-patient and out-patient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of vascular lab exams, including duplex imaging, Doppler, and plethysmography, using independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings.
  • Operate all vascular lab testing equipment and software packages, including ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR, and Structured Reporting and PACS.
  • Participate in the daily workflow by watching the technologist worklist to ensure timely patient care, and participate in the Vascular Lab after hours, on-call, weekend, and holiday schedules.
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings, as well as educational conferences, to stay up-to-date on changes in the field and participate in discussions.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Radiology or Sonography from a formal/Director-approved program.
  • One-year experience in Vascular Sonography, performing non-invasive vascular lab studies, or clinical rotations during a formal educational program.
  • ARDMS-RVT or CCI(RVS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and hemodynamics.
  • Medical Terminology.
