Surgical Support Professional

Join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center as an Endoscopy Technician As an Endoscopy Technician, you will assist the endoscopy team with case preparation, procedural assistance, and after-care of patients, equipment, and supplies.
Job DescriptionThis position involves providing gastrointestinal diagnostic testing and pain management procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. Your duties will include:
- Assisting with patient intake and ensuring all documentation on the pre-procedure checklist is complete and accurate
- Transferring patients to the procedure room and assisting with positioning patients
- Preparing procedure rooms using knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Assisting with room cleanup and sterilization after the procedure
- Assisting the team with sample collection, dilation, and polypectomy during Endoscopy procedures
- Maintaining inventory and equipment and ensuring appropriate supply levels
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 1 year of experience in Endoscopy or Surgery
- A High school diploma or GED equivalent
- BLS certification per St. Davids Healthcare policy
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred
