- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing their academic, personal, and social concerns.
- Implement responsive services, such as crisis counseling and referrals, to support students in need.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement guidance curriculum that aligns with school goals and standards.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor and improve student outcomes, including attendance, behavior, and academic achievement.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the diverse needs of students, including closing-the-gap initiatives.
- Stay current with best practices in school counseling and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- A Master's Degree in School Counseling or a related field.
- A valid New Mexico License in School Counseling.
- Three years of experience in a public school setting, preferably in a school counseling role.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing a comprehensive school counseling program based on the ASCA National Model.
- Effective communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Able to work with diverse populations and build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
The salary range for this position is $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, Albuquerque Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
