Key Responsibilities:
The AMSA will engage in various tasks, including:
1. **Communication Management:** Answering calls, welcoming patients, and directing messages to the appropriate personnel within the unit.
2. **Appointment Coordination:** Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments while adhering to established guidelines. This includes verifying provider orders and managing no-show records.
3. **Patient Information Management:** Updating and confirming patient demographics and insurance details during check-in processes.
4. **Transfer Coordination:** Overseeing administrative functions related to both emergency and non-emergency patient transfers to other facilities, ensuring appointment types align with patient eligibility.
5. **Team Collaboration:** Actively participating in team meetings and huddles to discuss patient care strategies and adjust clinic schedules as necessary.
6. **Data Management:** Entering and monitoring relevant patient information in electronic records, ensuring all pre-appointment requirements are met.
Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday through Friday, with standard hours.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess proficiency in both written and spoken English. Relevant experience in clerical or administrative roles is essential, with a focus on healthcare settings being advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
The role may require some physical activity, including standing for extended periods and handling moderate weight items.
