Quality Assurance Specialist

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team. As a Quality Tech, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, good attendance, and a willingness to learn. Previous quality experience would be nice but not a must-have.
Key Responsibilities:- Select and effectively apply the seven quality tools (cause and effect diagrams, flow charts, check sheets, Pareto and scatter diagrams, control charts, histograms) to identify nonconformance's, root cause, and facilitate implementation of corrective actions and error-proofing.
- Use work standards to audit and evaluate the effectiveness of processes.
- Facilitate in the development and interpretation of process control charts.
- Use blueprints/engineering drawings to identify required inspection points and qualify products (incoming raw materials and finished goods).
- Identify and work with internal and external customers to drive conforming input/outputs through value streams.
- Work to resolve nonconforming product issues within the Material Review Board process.
- 3 years in a quality assurance position.
- High School diploma. AA degree preferred.
- Proficient in the use of statistical techniques (SPC, control limits vs. specification limits, C p vs. C pk , control chart interpretation).
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, Certificates of Conformance/Analysis.
- Proficient in the use and handling of gauges and capable of working in metric and English units of measure.
- Capable of assisting the internal audit team and conducting directed audits of processes.
