Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of the COMSEC Operations Manager involves collaboration within Special Access Programs (SAPs) to support various Department of Defense (DoD) entities. This role encompasses daily assistance for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct secure equipment and classified keying material inventories, inspections, and other COMSEC-related support and oversight functions.
  • Install secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinate the delivery of encryption devices and keying material to designated IT specialists managing classified networks.
  • Administer a Top Secret inventory and document control program to account for COMSEC equipment and materials.
  • Perform inventories in accordance with agency policy and report any discrepancies to the government customer.
  • Courier classified information and authorize receipts for classified materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Automated Information Systems Security requirements related to COMSEC duties.
  • Verify that proper physical security accreditation has been issued by designated Program Security Officers for supported facilities.
  • Provide training to personnel on COMSEC procedures and the operation of related equipment.

Experience Required:

5 years of relevant experience, with SAP experience preferred.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).

Clearance Required to Start:

TS/SCI required; must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Travel Required: 10-25%
