Your New Opportunity

Kleinfelder is in search of an enthusiastic civil engineer to enhance our well-established military construction engineering program. Under the guidance of a seasoned program manager, you will assist in delivering design, permitting, and construction support for diverse engineering projects at military installations across the country. Key responsibilities include collaborating with a skilled team of architects and engineers to develop civil design plans, ensuring compliance with land use, stormwater management, erosion control, access, and military standards through coordination with review agencies. You will also engage in pre-bid meetings, prepare necessary addenda, respond to contractor inquiries, and provide engineering support throughout the construction phase.

Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience in site design, grading, drainage design, geometric analysis, quantity take-off, cost estimation, and specification development.
  • Capability to prepare detailed engineering reports and analyses.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Educational Background:
  • Willingness to obtain Professional Engineering certification within one year of employment.
  • A four-year degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • A solid work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a high level of personal integrity.
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities coupled with effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in military construction, funding, and planning processes.
