Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Foot And Ankle Specialists. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff in a fast-paced doctor's office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet patients, escort them to treatment rooms, and ensure their comfort and preparation for exams.
  • Exam Room Preparation: Open and prep exam rooms each morning, and close and clean them at the end of the day.
  • Instrument Management: Count instruments in treatment rooms at the end of each session.
  • Flexibility: Work with multiple doctors and their varying practice styles.
  • Dispensing and Application: Dispense DME, apply pads and/or adhesive strappings as needed.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform X-rays and digital radiography, complete pre-authorizations, and obtain vitals.
  • Medical Record Keeping: Record patient information, medical history, medications, and allergies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Set up for injections, P&A procedures, wart procedures, and in-office surgical procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Replenish inventory of back office supplies and DME items.
  • Assistance in Surgeries: Assist in surgeries and minor procedures, clean up after surgery, and dispose of sharp and red bag items.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 6+ months of customer service experience required, previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong work ethic.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to write, type, or operate office equipment. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and smell.
