Job Title: Server

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Take verbal drink and meal orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Serve high-quality food and beverages, ensuring they are prepared as ordered and presented attractively.
  • Monitor and oversee food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce the risk of foodborne illness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Perform side work during shift downtime, including rolling silverware, restocking condiments, and cleaning work areas.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment issues, and safety concerns.
Requirements:
  • Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service, taught through in-house training.
  • Trustworthiness, with the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests and coworkers.
Physical Requirements:
  • High level of mobility and flexibility, with the ability to work irregular hours under heavy stress and pressure.
  • Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to fit through an opening 30 inches wide.
  • Requires frequent reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors.
  • Continual standing and walking required.
