Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Supervisor to join our team at the New Mexico Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for adult patients with speech, language, and cognitive disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct intervention, including speech, language, and cognitive therapy, to patients with a range of disorders
  • Participate in discharge planning, collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the State of New Mexico
  • Two years of experience in speech pathology, preferably in a rehabilitation setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation hospital setting, with extended periods of walking, sitting, and standing. You will also be required to use visual display terminals and personal computers extensively. Some travel may be required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
