Breastfeeding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Breastfeeding Specialist to join our team at Atrium Health. As a key member of our lactation team, you will provide expert assessment, education, and clinical support to breastfeeding families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Provide comprehensive lactation care and support to patients and families, including assessment, education, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to promote optimal patient care and develop individualized lactation care plans.
• Develop and implement lactation in-services for nursing team members and the community.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in lactation, breastfeeding tools, and evidence-based practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.

• IBCLC certification required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Physical Requirements: Requires walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending. Ability to lift/carry 15 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
