Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic role at Garrett Popcorn Shops involves ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of mechanical systems, equipment, and tools. This requires strong technical skills, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to preventing equipment failures.

This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure they operate efficiently. The ideal candidate should have experience in industrial maintenance, repair, or a related field, with a focus on hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and welding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance: Inspect and maintain machinery, equipment, and tools to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical failures: Identify root causes of mechanical problems and use diagnostic tools and knowledge to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Repair equipment: Dismantle, repair, replace, or adjust mechanical parts on a wide range of machinery, including conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, production lines, and HVAC systems.
  • Fabrication and installation: Modify and install equipment, including assembling and disassembling components using hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment.
  • Documentation: Record all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance performed. Update equipment logs and ensure maintenance reports are accurate and detailed.
  • Collaborate with team members: Work closely with engineers, other mechanics, and production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Adhere to safety standards: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when necessary.
