Position: Patient Financial Access Counselor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient accounts from the initial interaction through to resolution.
  • Offer financial guidance to patients who are self-paying or underinsured.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain professional standards.
  • Leverage various software tools to efficiently oversee accounts.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or GED is mandatory. An associate degree or experience in customer service is preferred. CHAA or CRCS certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.

Experience: 3-4 years in an Access or similar environment with a robust background in customer service. Demonstrated proficiency in resolving intricate account challenges.

Licensure: CHAA or CRCS certification is essential.

Special Skills: Must be self-motivated, organized, and possess excellent interpersonal abilities. Capable of independently resolving issues, managing multiple tasks, and adapting to various systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical personnel are required.
