About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Detention Deputy. As a key member of our law enforcement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of inmates within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision of inmates in a secure housing unit
  • Manage and mediate conflicts amongst inmates
  • Maintain the security and safety of the facility, inmates, and staff
  • Conduct inmate counts and searches for unauthorized activity
  • Respond to emergencies and restore order and security
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to credibly testify in a court of law
Preferred Qualifications
  • Secondary education in corrections, law enforcement, or a related field
  • Evidence-Based Practice Corrections Professional Certification
  • Experience using de-escalation techniques in a work setting
