About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Supervisor to join our team at Guardian Glass, a leading manufacturer of float, value-added and fabricated glass products and solutions. As a Materials Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the team.
  • Safety and Training: Ensure team is actively involved in safety training and discussions to reduce opportunities for injury and property damage.
  • Team Development: Lead and develop a team in goal setting and performance for the shipping department to support KPI.
  • Raw Material Management: Ensure all raw material movements throughout the plant are executed by team to ensure quality product is line-side to avoid delay on production assets.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Work through team members to optimize the inbound and outbound shipping processes and manage warehouse activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Coordinate efforts with other shifts, initiate and direct continuous improvement programs, and maintain a positive employee relations.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Rotating Shifts: Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in management or related field.
  • Department Audit Experience: Experience leading a department audit.
  • Supply Chain Experience: Experience in a supply chain/logistics function or inventory management.
  • Employee Relations: Experience in employee relations, progressive discipline, and counseling of employees.
