Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Wentworth Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily nursing care to residents, adhering to federal, state, and local standards, as well as facility policies.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, including vital signs and skin integrity.
  • Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Assist with the orientation of new staff members and provide guidance on facility policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care, including intake and output, and report any concerns or issues to the nursing staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including answering call lights, running errands, and assisting with meal service.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a nursing arts course in an accredited nurse training program.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within two weeks of employment.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies, as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of emotional stability and empathy.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a healthcare setting, with exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions.
  • May be required to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday, with the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
