Molecular Biologist

Top Medical Talent is seeking a skilled Molecular Technologist to join our team at a diagnostic, research, and training laboratory in Sterling, VA. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest testing and safety standards are maintained.

• Assist in daily laboratory operations, including maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory.
• Support testing personnel with proficiency testing, competency testing, and training.
• Assist in developing CLIA documentation for validation and verification of test systems.
• Assess laboratory data, including QC data, validation/verification data, and proficiency testing.
• Participate in the Quality Systems Management Program to ensure compliance with established standards, statutes, and regulations.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all staff by actively participating in the Laboratory Safety Programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Medical Laboratory Science.
• Experience in a molecular biology laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with CLIA laboratory operations and regulations.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and under supervision.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.

• MLS (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Experience with grant writing and other technical writing.
• Experience with CO2 Incubator.
