Pulmonologist Opportunity in West Bend, Wisconsin

We are seeking a board certified/board eligible physician to join our team in a community setting with outpatient clinics and inpatient care at Froedtert West Bend Hospital and the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities
This full-time position will consist of both inpatient and outpatient work in West Bend and at the VA. Inpatient work at West Bend will be in a community hospital setting, including a non-tertiary level 6-bed ICU and inpatient pulmonary consultations. The position will have modest office hours, a call rotation of 1:4 with weekend coverage, and support from the hospitalist with co-management on ICU patients.
We also utilize virtual nocturnal ICU coverage, with very limited after-hours critical care needs, allowing for an outstanding balance and quality of life. A PFT lab and sleep center are onsite, and procedures such as central lines, intubations, and thoracentesis are optional but available.
The open ICU allows hospitalists to see selected patients without critical care consult mandated unless critically ill requiring vasopressor support or mechanical invasive or non-invasive ventilation. Responsibilities at the VA will include clinics, ICU, and pulmonary consult service weeks and procedures. Sleep medicine may be helpful but is not necessary. Student teaching opportunities are available.
Requirements
We are seeking a physician who is board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Wisconsin. Additionally, we seek those with strong clinical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to our academic missions.

The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, is a tertiary care facility providing advanced medical care to a diverse population of Veterans. ZVAMC is affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin, and as such, integrates teaching, research, and advanced patient care into its organizational mission.
