The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Assess and address the nursing care needs of patients, ensuring care is age-appropriate and aligns with safety guidelines.
- Provide direct patient care and supervise LVNs and non-licensed nursing staff.
- Assume charge nurse duties, making patient assignments, and overseeing staff and unit activities during the shift.
- Adhere to Nursing Department policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Maintain current TX RN licensure or RN Compact State License.
- Possess current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
- Hold a BSN degree.
- Have a minimum of one year of recent experience as an RN in a high-acuity PCU unit.
- Demonstrate acute care experience.
