Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pediatric Nurse Leader. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing care to our pediatric patients, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct the healthcare team, delegating tasks appropriately and demonstrating accountability.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Ensure patient safety by utilizing the five rights, preventing falls, decubitus, and nosocomial infections.
  • Provide optimal pain control and patient comfort, identifying and discussing patient anxieties, fears, or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring clear understanding of medication purposes, side effects, and administration instructions.
Requirements:
  • 1-year recent experience in Pediatrics or successful completion of a KP acute care Pediatric training program.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Certified Pediatric Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred.
