Job Summary
The Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a skilled Night Hospitalist Physician to join our team. As a key member of our Hospitalist Service, you will provide comprehensive care to medicine inpatients, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered, and efficient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to medicine inpatients assigned to the Hospitalist Service, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered, and efficient care.
- Identify information needs of team members, patients, and families, and regularly provide related teaching and education to unit nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in team-based quality improvement and patient/customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Practice medicine in a manner that maximizes patient safety.
- Follow all NEMG and respective hospital entity policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: M.D./D.O degree, full residency training, and Board eligibility/certification in internal medicine/family practice are mandatory.
- Must have attending medical staff privileges at respective YNHHS entity.
- EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years caring for medicine inpatients as resident and/or attending physician.
- LICENSURE: Hold a valid Connecticut medical license, Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration, and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification.
- SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
