Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering food products to our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food products to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect payment from customers where required.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL-A license.
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
