MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled Echo Technician for a travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

About the Job

This is a 13-week contract with a top healthcare client, requiring a 40-hour workweek with 9-hour shifts, days only.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and perform 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode, and Doppler studies.
  • Prepare preliminary interpretations of studies and maintain patient records.
  • Assist supervising physicians with training residents, fellows, faculty, and other physicians.
  • Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
  • Ability to read, interpret, apply, and follow physicians' orders, policies, procedures, or written and verbal instructions.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
  • Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
  • Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation.
  • Successful completion of a cardiac echocardiography technology program (graduate of cardiac echocardiography technology program).
