WordPress Manager

Job Title:
Spelman College is seeking a skilled WordPress Manager to oversee the maintenance and development of our WordPress website. This role involves ensuring the website is functional, user-friendly, and up-to-date, with a strong focus on web development, content management, and digital marketing.

Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain our WordPress website, ensuring it is secure and performs optimally
Update website content regularly, ensuring it is accurate and engaging
Implement website design changes and improvements, collaborating with the marketing team
Optimize website performance and ensure it is mobile-friendly, adhering to web accessibility standards
Monitor website security and perform regular backups, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly
Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate SEO best practices and analyze website traffic using Google Analytics
Work with various plugins and themes to enhance website functionality, assisting in creating and managing digital marketing campaigns

Required Skills:
Experience with theme and plug-in development, knowledge of database management
SEO and website performance optimization, design and UX skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Familiarity with web accessibility standards, experience with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a non-profit or similar environment, familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
