Job Summary:

The Relationship Banker is a key member of the First Tech Federal Credit Union team, responsible for building strong relationships with new and existing members. This role involves processing routine financial transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and recommending financial solutions that meet the needs of our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Financial Transactions: Process routine financial transactions for members, including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier's checks, in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Establish and Maintain Member Accounts: Establish and maintain member deposit and loan accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Provide the highest quality of service to all members, promptly addressing concerns and escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Recommend Financial Solutions: Engage with members to understand their needs and recommend financial solutions that best fit their goals, based on First Tech's suite of product offerings.
  • Participate in Sales and Service Activities: Participate in campaigns, cross-selling, and making referrals when appropriate, using online tracking and CRM systems.
  • Perform Account Maintenance: Perform account maintenance activities, including updating member contact and personal information.
  • Follow-up Activities: Perform follow-up activities and outbound calls for new and existing members.
  • Collaborate with Other Business Units: Partner with other business units in sales and service activities, as appropriate.

Essential Skills:

  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in retail sales or service, with financial services experience preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent listening skills, with the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections.
  • Time Management: Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, with attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
