About the Role:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of Hope Community Resources, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute treatment plans for patients, as recommended by the physical therapist, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate competency in accordance with hospital policy, procedures, and practices to maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  • Instruct patients in equipment use, per physical therapist's recommendations, to promote independence and confidence.
  • Identify and implement patient/family education, in consultation with the physical therapist, to enhance patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Complete accurate records, including charge sheets, treatment records, and medical record documents, in a timely manner and in accordance with Hope Community Resources, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Assure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of charge capture, per system, hospital, or clinic, and department policies and procedures.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports for any unusual occurrences, which occur to patients, visitors, staff, or self, and actively use safety measures to prevent avoidable injuries.
  • Communicate patient status at care conferences to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Assist and collaborate with the medical director, physician, or consultants, and other staff members of the rehabilitation team, in circumstances where joint efforts are necessary.
  • Participate in staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in inservices to disseminate professional and/or administrative knowledge and/or policies, to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Assist with the maintenance of hospital or clinic equipment, reporting need for repairs and replacements when necessary, to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Participate in specialized training for program development, when requested by Director, to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as PTA in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred.
