Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Avanti Hospital. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform a variety of duties related to the security of the hospital building and grounds, including patrols, investigations, and facility access control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform building and ground patrols to ensure the safety of the hospital
  • Investigate any thefts, disturbances, or suspicious activity
  • Assist staff with patient restraints and interventions
  • Control facility access, including identification of individuals entering the facilities and restricting traffic at various times
  • Activate and deactivate anti-theft alarm systems
  • Report crimes and maintain open communication with local law enforcement
  • Observe and report daily activity, question unauthorized individuals, and escort them out as needed
  • Provide timely response to reports of violent activity or requests for assistance

Requirements:

  • High school graduate
  • At least 6 months to 1 year of current experience in an acute hospital setting as a security guard
  • Current Guard Card
  • Current BLS (CPR)
  • Current CPI (AB508)
