Job SummaryThis role involves facilitating the daily operation of work cells, supporting onsite software, controls, and hardware systems. You will collaborate with remote hardware and software development teams, ensuring local coordination of activities as needed. Additionally, you will assist in identifying hardware issues and software bugs, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Duties and Responsibilities- Facilitate the daily operation of work cells, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.
- SUPPORT onsite software, controls, and hardware systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
- Collaborate with remote hardware and software development teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Assist in identifying hardware issues and software bugs, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform planned daily, weekly, and monthly hardware preventative maintenance activities, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Complete unplanned maintenance/ repairs as needed, following prescribed instructions.
- Install hardware changes and modifications, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide documentation and updates as directed, including collecting data, analyzing results, and creating reports.
- Coordinate, collaborate, and develop relationships with onsite parties to meet priorities and deadlines.
To succeed in this role, you should possess strong mechanical or electrical engineering skills, with experience working in robotic work cells and manufacturing or fulfillment center environments. Field Support Engineers typically have stronger hardware and pneumatic systems skills, while Field Technicians bring practical, hands-on experience to the support team.
