Salary

Job Description
A psychiatrist with the U.S. Army health care team provides diagnoses and treatments that improve the lives of Soldiers and their families. As part of our ready-made practice, you will not have to worry about the administrative tasks associated with running a private practice. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and expertise can be utilized to their fullest potential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy. Foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates. You must also have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, eligibility for board certification, completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship, and completion of a training program in psychiatry. Additionally, you must be between 21 and 42 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
