Job Description

At Samaritan Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community. We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a part-time day shift position.

This role involves assessing respiratory patients to determine their physical and emotional care needs and capabilities. You will make adjustments to inpatient care regimens to ensure individualized effectiveness, educate patients and caregivers on physiologic processes, and work with physicians to provide respiratory consultation.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Respiratory Care and at least two years of acute care experience. You will also possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess respiratory patients to determine their care needs and capabilities
  • Make adjustments to inpatient care regimens to ensure individualized effectiveness
  • Educate patients and caregivers on physiologic processes
  • Work with physicians to provide respiratory consultation

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Respiratory Care
  • At least two years of acute care experience
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS

Physical Requirements:

  • Routine prolonged standing and fast walking
  • Occasional lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
  • Good reading eyesight
  • Delicate dexterity and coordination necessary to accomplish tasks
