Oceaneering is a leading provider of engineered services and products to the offshore energy industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to lead our survey and positioning equipment operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Expertly install, calibrate, and operate surface and subsea sensors for real-time position determination of vessels and remotely operated vehicles.
- Lead others in operating equipment, including cameras, acoustic positioning systems, sonars, subsea tooling, and surface positioning systems.
- Develop and maintain parts and supplies inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Five to eight years' experience in the Survey or Geoscience industry as a Survey Professional.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and a valid Passport.
- Two-year Technical Degree or higher in a field of study.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent desired.
- Current security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.
This position is considered OFFSHORE, characterized by:
- Working outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.
- Working on or near moving and vibrating equipment.
- Exposure to high humidity, noise, and intense light.
- Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
- Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
This position is considered HEAVY work, requiring:
- Lifting 50-100 pounds.
- Sitting, twisting, crawling, climbing stairs/ladders, and using repetitive movements of the arms and hands.
- Operating small water vessels or ATVs.
