OSP Fielder II

Job Summary:

MOUNTAIN, LTD. is seeking a highly skilled OSP Fielder II to join our team of experienced professionals in the telecommunications industry. As an OSP Fielder II, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, legal descriptions, and industry standards to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Conduct thorough inspections of aerial and subsurface telecommunications infrastructure to identify potential safety hazards and quality control issues.
• Provide detailed reports and supporting documentation to management and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to complex telecommunications infrastructure challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the highest level of quality and safety in all aspects of the job.

Requirements:

• Working experience with NESC inspections with supervision or experience working on an aerial cable line crew.
• Working experience with performing wooden pole ground line inspections without supervision.
• Proficient with OSP Construction Standards.
• Working Experience with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, legal descriptions, plant symbols, and terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Windows XP, Excel 2003 or newer, and Outlook experience.
• Microsoft MapPoint 2009 or newer is preferred, but not required.
• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage and web page browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel on short notice.
