Job Overview

The Hospitality Cashier serves as the welcoming presence of our establishment, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a warm environment for our patrons. Your primary objective is to ensure a delightful experience for both guests and colleagues. With your keen organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our venue. Additionally, you will maintain a tidy and well-organized front-of-house area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with dining room, service, and kitchen teams to monitor all orders and financial transactions.
  • Process payments accurately, providing receipts and ensuring correct change is given.
  • Verify cash drawer amounts at the start of shifts to ensure sufficient change is available.
  • Check pricing accuracy during transactions and resolve any discrepancies; accept various payment methods including cash, credit cards, and gift cards.
  • Keep the checkout area clean and organized, ensuring supplies like receipt paper are well-stocked.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders for each table using the venue's primary POS system.
  • Address customer inquiries and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Ensure all outgoing orders meet presentation standards and guest specifications, while maintaining communication with the team.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and sanitized, stocking necessary items such as ice, plates, and utensils.
  • Learn and understand front-of-house materials, including table numbers and server sections; assist with to-go orders and special guest requests.
  • Participate in team meetings and briefings as scheduled.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the department's efficient operation.

COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

All team members are expected to adhere to compliance with laws and regulations, including:

  • Participating in mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
  • Obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses.
  • Conducting duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring minors are not permitted in restricted areas or allowed to purchase age-restricted items.
  • Being knowledgeable about departmental regulations and procedures.
  • Reporting any observed misconduct or violations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Six months of experience in fast food or restaurant service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull weights between 25-50 pounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
