Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Transplant Coordinator to join our Hematologic Malignancies & Cellular Therapy department at Duke University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing commercial cellular therapies, including CAR-T and TIL products.
Key Responsibilities- Educate patients and families on all aspects of cell therapy care, including arranging follow-up appointments, labs, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team on patient-specific needs.
- Work closely with HMCT faculty and staff to provide a source of truth for commercial CAR-T products, patients, and data.
- Communicate with patients and caregivers regarding the plan of care and ongoing changes.
- Provide consistent alignment and communication with pharmaceutical vendors.
- Track patient-related care data, including visits, quality information, outcomes, and more.
- Ensure continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Make clinical judgments based on current research, concepts, principles, theories, and outcomes to solve complex problems.
- Collaborate with medical faculty, pharmacy, nursing personnel, case management, and other health disciplines to meet patient and family needs.
- Complete regulatory documentation for FACT and REMS training.
- Review education materials and work with the department to ensure current practice.
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with a focus on hematologic malignancies, blood & marrow transplant, and/or cellular therapies.
- Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
