Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Linux/Redhat Systems Administrator for classified government projects.
- Act as the Windows Systems Administrator, ensuring compliance with all security protocols.
- Oversee the seamless operation of multi-user computer systems, collaborating with various engineering and IT teams.
- Evaluate customer requirements to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Enhance system performance through upgrades, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Manage data storage and backup solutions, ensuring robust protection against malware.
- Create and manage user accounts, adjusting permissions as necessary.
- Conduct compatibility testing for new software releases.
- Document technical processes and develop operational procedures.
- Advise on hardware and software procurement to meet project needs.
- Engage with vendors to troubleshoot and evaluate products and services.
- Maintain strict adherence to Information Systems security protocols.
- Implement new security guidelines and collaborate with IT teams on vulnerability management.
- Document security audits and maintain compliance records.
- Provide regular updates on project status and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements for Level 3:
- Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years, or Master's degree with 3 years; High School diploma with 9 years of experience may be considered.
- Associate's degree with 11 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 9 years, or Master's degree with 7 years; High School diploma with 13 years of experience may be considered.
- Current DoD Secret level security clearance required.
- Ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance within the first 9 months of employment.
- IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE) required on the first day of employment.
- Proven experience managing Redhat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server OS.
- Familiarity with DoD STIGs and security compliance processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Experience with NISPOM, RMF, and related security frameworks.
- Knowledge of networking principles and experience with Cisco systems.
- Familiarity with Windows AD, LDAP, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with environmental monitoring tools and scripting.
