Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with the Arc of Livingston-Wyoming, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Deliver Healthcare Services: Work under the supervision of the RN Supervisor to provide healthcare services to consumers living in certified sites, following providers' orders and good nursing practice.
  • Implement and Coordinate Care Plans: Assist with the implementation, coordination, supervision, and review of each consumer's nursing care plan, as directed by primary care and other providers.
  • Respect Consumer Rights: Ensure confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines and agency policies, respecting consumers' rights to privacy.
  • Collaborate with Care Coordinators: Act as a liaison with care coordinators and outside agencies for community resources and service delivery.
  • Administer Medications: Administer medications as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate Meetings: Coordinate meetings as appropriate, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with consumers, caregivers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance: Participate in corporate compliance and quality assurance activities as required, ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures.
  • Complete Training and Certifications: Complete all required training in accordance with agency policy, maintaining all required certifications and/or professional license requirements.
Requirements:
  • Current NYS License: Possess a current NYS License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience and Education: Have two years of specialized training and/or one year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental retardation.
  • Valid NYS Drivers License: Possess a valid NYS drivers license with a safe driving record, and use of a personal vehicle is required.
Working Conditions:

Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work, and will be required to travel throughout the workday.
