Job Title: Quality Manager

Strivector is seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality systems and food safety plans to protect the business, reduce variation and waste, and grow the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality systems and food safety plans, including quality management strategies, direction, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, local, governmental, and international quality and EOHS regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Function as a critical member of the site strategic team, supporting the plant's vision, providing resources to achieve plant strategy, and ensuring decision-making processes are consistent with guiding principles.
  • Own the cleaning and sanitization process and environmental performance of the facility.
  • Report critical metrics of quality systems both internally and externally.
  • Be accountable for the robustness of key quality systems, including incoming component and finished product inspection and release, validation, corrective actions, change control, internal audits, laboratory management, and documentation management.
  • Develop and implement the site's quality audit program to ensure conformance with standards, quality-related regulatory requirements, cGMP's, and lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement plans to address any internal/external quality or food safety audit findings.
  • Collaborate with AIB, FDA, USDA, customers, or other agencies during audits.
  • Lead site consumer satisfaction programs, including consumer complaint tracking and reduction of plant controllable complaints.
  • Coordinate all performance management, coaching, and feedback activities and provide effective career development and planning for all team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects with other plant managers and corporate quality.
  • Prepare operating budgets for variable and fixed overheads for the quality team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience in quality, supply chain, R&D, or a technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/plant operations environment.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, food science, or a related field.
  • Validated experience conducting and facilitating effective failure investigations, corrective and preventive actions, notices of deviation, and management of change documentation.
  • Direct experience and active participation in an audit inspection by a regulatory agency.
  • Proficient knowledge of HACCP, GMP's, and SPC.
  • Knowledge of AIB, SQF, USDA, and FSMA regulations.
