Job Overview

The American Family Care Downingtown is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform essential imaging procedures that aid in patient diagnosis. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Operating x-ray machinery to capture images of specific body areas.
  • Communicating procedures clearly to patients and addressing any inquiries they may have.
  • Utilizing immobilization tools to position patients accurately.
  • Documenting and relaying information through computerized systems as necessary.
  • Implementing radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
  • Ensuring a secure environment for the administration of contrast materials.
  • Adhering to Standard Precautions by using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT Certification is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania medical imaging license or permit.
  • Strong patient care skills and excellent customer service aptitude.
  • Ability to think critically, make informed decisions, and work independently in a dynamic setting.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that involve frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting patients or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
