Position Summary

The role involves executing final assembly tasks for molds, assessing and analyzing repair work to align with organizational requirements. This position is crucial in providing accurate and timely information to support the achievement of corporate objectives and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all aspects related to final mold assembly for designated projects.
  • Engage in various tasks, including traditional machining methods and manual operations.
  • Evaluate plastic samples and molds for diagnosis, repair, and necessary adjustments, ensuring timely completion.
  • Utilize software for geometry analysis and review to facilitate manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in mold sample assessments as needed.
  • Conduct mold maintenance as per the preventive maintenance program.
  • Uphold the company's quality standards.
  • Attend design review meetings as required.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Strive to meet or enhance delivery timelines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other areas of the tool shop as needed.
  • Complete all departmental documentation accurately.
  • Adhere to established manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work scheduled hours, including overtime as necessary.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are kept in optimal working condition.
  • Foster a positive atmosphere within the department.
  • Follow all safety protocols diligently.
  • Ensure that all safety features on equipment remain intact.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with certification from a relevant trade school preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in injection mold fabrication, focusing on mold assembly.
  • Ability to work with extremely tight tolerances (0.0002 inches).
  • Proficient in using toolmaker instruments for measurement.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand 3-D files and technical drawings.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Good vision and manual dexterity are required.
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Repetitive motions are part of the job requirements.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and twisting motions are necessary.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Availability for overtime as required.
  • Work environment may have uncontrolled noise levels (ear protection provided).
  • Perform job duties in compliance with ISO 13485/9001 standards and requirements, including audits.
